Welcome to Harriman State Park

Harriman State Park is an 11,000 acre working ranch, wildlife refuge and park. It was gifted to the state by the Harriman family of the Union Pacific railroad empire thus calling it the Railroad Ranch. Lakes, rivers, meadows, mountains and abundant wildlife drew them to this part of Idaho. Not wanting to see it developed, they began spearheading the parks and recreation department in the state, allowing us all the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful countryside.

ISLAND PARK, ID

Island Park sits just west of Yellowstone National Park in the beautiful Southeast Idaho. There is lots to see and do in the area. Some of our favorite spots include hiking at Mesa Falls, driving through West Yellowstone, eating in Driggs and of course horseback riding in Harriman State Park.
