Elk Rides

If you have never heard an elk bugle, it is really something you need to experience! The elk begin to rut during the first week of September and continue through October. Close encounters are the norm. Weekdays are best, and mornings are a little better than evenings. Rides are 2.5 - 4 hours with intermittent breaks.

Went on an early morning elk ride that showcased the beauty of the Harriman State Park. The staff were so friendly the second you walk in the door and guiding you throughout the ride. We saw and heard elk and other wildlife. If you are up for an early morning in September-October, I would highly recommend doing the elk ride option!
